Running a tournament with QuickKicks
How to set up a tournament with divisions, accept online registration, and run the day with brackets.

Tournaments have their own area in QuickKicks, separate from regular events. If your school doesn't see Tournaments in the menu, an owner can turn it on in Admin › Settings › Product areas.
Creating a tournament
- Go to Tournaments › All tournaments and tap New tournament.
- Fill in the basics: tournament name, start and end, and venue.
- Under Registration, choose Free or Paid and set the entry fee, the most competitors you'll take, the registration window and any rank or age limits. Paid tournaments need Stripe connected.
- Publish the tournament to get its public registration page.
Entry fees and promo codes
The entry fee is charged for each division a competitor enters. You can create promo codes that take a percent or a fixed amount off the checkout.
Setting up divisions
A division is a group like "Boys 8 to 9 Yellow Belt Sparring" or "Adult Open Forms". Build your divisions before registration opens. Competitors pick their divisions when they register.
Public registration
Competitors and parents register on the tournament's public page. They add each competitor, pick divisions and pay. The school they represent is optional. Registrations appear in your tournament console as they come in.
Brackets
Brackets are drawn per division. Formats: single elimination, double elimination, round robin, pool play into finals, and panel scored (for kata and forms). Seeding can be random, by rank, by school, or manual. When a bracket is right, tap Lock bracket so nobody can regenerate it by accident.
Tournament day
- Judges get a link by email that opens their ring on a phone or tablet. No account needed. Keep tablets online: results don't save while a tablet is offline.
- The Check-in desk handles arrivals and walk-ins. A late entry can go into an open bye instead of redrawing the bracket.
- Run mode shows every ring's progress, lets you post an announcement on the spectator view, and lets you report issues.
- Spectators follow along live and can find any competitor. Print the QR poster from run mode so people in the gym can open the live view.
After the tournament
Results appear on the tournament's public results page. Use the Awards and Exports pages in the console for medal lists and records.
