For parents: messaging your school

How to send a question or note to your school, and what to expect for response times.

Send a message

  1. Sign in to your parent portal.
  2. Tap Messages.
  3. Tap New message.
  4. Add a subject if you like, then type your message.
  5. Tap Send message.

Read and reply

The school replies in the same conversation. New replies show as unread in Messages. You may also get an email or an app alert, depending on your notification choices on your Profile page.

To reply, open the conversation, type in Write a reply and tap Send.

If your school has messaging turned on in the app, you can also use the Messages tab in the QuickKicks app.

Good to know

  1. You can't attach files to messages.
  2. Some schools don't take messages in the portal. If you see "[school] is not taking messages here right now", contact them another way.
  3. For anything urgent, phone the school.
