When Stripe pays out and how to read your statements

When Stripe takes a payment, the money does not land in your bank the same day. Stripe holds it for a short time and then pays it out.

The payout cycle

Stripe sets your payout schedule, and you can change it in your Stripe Dashboard under Settings > Payouts (for example daily, weekly or monthly). QuickKicks does not control it. New Stripe accounts often wait longer for their first payouts.

Reading the bank deposit

Each payout shows on your bank statement as one deposit from Stripe. The amount is after fees, refunds and disputes for that batch. To see what is inside a payout, open it in your Stripe Dashboard.

Matching QuickKicks to Stripe

1. Go to Money > Billing and look at Money summary. It shows what you collected and what is still owed, and what has been deposited to your bank versus what is still held at Stripe.
2. For line-by-line detail, go to Reports > Export and download Transactions for the month. Each row has the date, source, type, method, status, amount, fees, net, who paid, and the Stripe or Square id, so you can match it to Stripe.
3. Reports > Revenue shows membership revenue by month and program. A refund counts against the month of the original payment, so it can land in a different month than Stripe shows.

If the numbers are a day apart, check that you are comparing the same time zone. Your school's time zone is in Admin > Settings > School details.

Stripe fees

Stripe takes its fee from each charge before paying you, so your payouts are smaller than the amounts families paid. The fees and net columns in the Transactions download show the difference.

When a payout is late

A payout can be held longer because of an open dispute, a fraud review, a bank holiday or a bank account change. Your Stripe Dashboard shows the reason. Contact Stripe support if it takes more than a few business days.
