Connecting Stripe to take payments

QuickKicks takes card payments through Stripe. Your school has its own Stripe account, so payouts go straight to your bank, not through QuickKicks.

What to have ready

Stripe will ask for your business details, a bank account for payouts, and ID for the account owner. Have them to hand before you start.

Connecting

1. Go to Admin > Settings > Payments & payouts and click Connect Stripe (or Connect an existing Stripe account).
2. Stripe opens. Sign in or create an account, then fill in the business and bank details.
3. You come back to QuickKicks. If Stripe needs more information, click Continue onboarding.

What families see

Membership charges run on the card the family saved. For things like event sign-ups and gift cards, families pay on a secure Stripe checkout page.

Payouts

Stripe pays out on its own schedule, which you can change in your Stripe Dashboard. QuickKicks does not hold your money or your bank details.

Fees

Stripe charges its own processing fee. QuickKicks does not add a fee to your school's tuition, event or party payments. Your QuickKicks subscription is a flat monthly price per location.

If you want families to cover payment costs, you can turn on two fees on the Payments & payouts page. Both are off until you turn them on.

• Card surcharge: a percentage on credit card payments. Debit cards never pay it, and QuickKicks shows you whether your state allows it.
• Bank payment fee: a percentage on bank account payments, with a cap per payment.

Families always see the fee and the total before they pay: in the parent portal, the app, the card link and the setup link, and on their receipts and payment reminders. The fees are added to membership bills charged to a saved card or bank account. Payments made on Stripe's checkout page (event sign-ups, party deposits, pro shop and gift cards) and card payments you take by phone do not add them.

Changing banks

Update your bank account in your Stripe Dashboard under Settings > Payouts.
